my goldfish lived for 3 years….

The following sites will answer many of the questions you have.

goldfish food is a good start. if you’re looking for a specific brand, any really. don’t buy the cheapest, but you don’t need the most expensive either.

as for other foods, you can feed them lots of things like orange slices (tie it to a string and it will float on the top for the fish to nibble on). there’s a site with a list of all kinds of healthy treats for them, once I find it again I’ll link you.

alright, here’s the link, the list I’m talking about is close to the end of the page:

I feed all my goldfish wardleys goldfish flakes and omega one sinking pellets (small size)… I have tried tetrafin goldfish flakes so as long as it is a good food made for goldfish you should be fine.. also freezed dried bloodworms once a week help out too.. .adds variety…

goldfish floating pellets or goldfish flakes but flakes are messier so I would consider the goldfish floating pellets.

Goldfish are omnivorous and will eat all types of dried and live foods. Limit protein, however, to 30% of the diet. A Goldfish flake or pellet food will provide these fish with the proper nutrition.
